Experience the mesmerizing Varanasi Ganga Aarti, a captivating nighttime spectacle you shouldn't miss. The enchanting ritual creates a wonderful ambiance, infusing each moment with sacred vibes. Brass lamps illuminate the ceremony, accompanied by the chanting of mantras, creating a spiritually uplifting experience in the presence of a large gathering.
The Ganga Aarti in Varanasi is performed by students from Upanishad and Vedic colleges, guided by the chief priest of the Gangotri Seva Samiti. Regardless of weather conditions, this ritual takes place every evening on the banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi.
Starting at 6:30 PM in the summer and 7:00 PM in the winter, the Varanasi Ganga Aarti lasts approximately 45 minutes. Varanasi, the holiest city for Hindus and the oldest living city globally, encapsulates India's cultural and religious essence.
