The Ganga Aarti in Varanasi is performed by students from Upanishad and Vedic colleges, guided by the chief priest of the Gangotri Seva Samiti. Regardless of weather conditions, this ritual takes place every evening on the banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi.

 

Starting at 6:30 PM in the summer and 7:00 PM in the winter, the Varanasi Ganga Aarti lasts approximately 45 minutes. Varanasi, the holiest city for Hindus and the oldest living city globally, encapsulates India's cultural and religious essence. Attendance at the Varanasi Ganga Aarti is free, and attendees are welcome to make voluntary donations. If you prefer a river view, consider hiring a boat during this event, though boat excursions can be relatively costly.
